Episode 8: Breakfast at Chef Mickey’s – Walt Disney World – September 2016

We had breakfast at Chef Mickey’s for the first time on our trip in 2015 and we were hooked!  This is one of our family’s favorite place to go!  So we get up early, but not too early, on Sunday morning and take the bus from Port Orleans Riverside to the Magic Kingdom.  From there, it is a short five minute walk over to the Contemporary Resort, home of Chef Mickey’s.

Breakfast here is always amazing!

The all-you-care-to-eat buffet has such a variety that everyone is sure to leave full.  One of our favorites was the egg and cheese frittata… yum!  And of course there are never ending Mickey waffles ๐Ÿ™‚

One of the best parts of a meal at Chef Mickey’s is that the fab five come to visit you!  At the parks, you may have a very long line to wait in to meet just one of these characters, but with character dining they come to your table as you enjoy your meal.  We had a great time meeting with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto!  One of the cutest moments of the trip came from Donald when he came up to Colby and took his ‘Mickey’ autograph hat and through it on the table and marked an X with his finger!!!  But he was a good sport and signed the hats anyway.

Special moments

Another special moment here is for birthdays and anniversaries…  each birthday boy or girl is given a signed card from the fab five and the sever will bring a birthday/anniversary cupcake.  Then everyone grabs their napkin and starts spinning over their heads as fun music plays and the characters are dancing in the aisles.  It is truly something they will not forget!!!

If you have never been to Chef Mickey’s we highly recommend the experience!!!
Come back next week as we head over to Blizzard Beach to get our slide on…
