About Us

About our family:

EECC Travels is me (Alisa), my husband Jason, and our three boys: Ethan, Cameron & Colby.  Also part of the family is Emily, she is grown and doesn’t live at home but is still close by, but she hasn’t been traveling with us.  Jason and I have been together since we were teenagers!  We celebrated 20 years married on our first trip to Disneyland in 2017!  And we are planning an EPIC vow renewal cruise around Hawaii for our 25th anniversary in 2022!

So where does EECC come from?  It’s our kids’ initials.  In 2003, when twin boys were born so was the family nickname of EECC. When you have six people in the family, it takes a lot of room to sign that many names on a birthday card and it just will not fit on those tiny to/from stickers at Christmas.  So EECC became our family nickname and motto.  And when we decided to start a YouTube travel channel, the name that made the most sense to us was EECC Travels.

Our family travels:

We took our first big family vacation in 2008 when the twins were 4 years old, and of course, it was to Disney World!  We loved it and went back in 2010.  An annual family vacation became a tradition.  We have also taken trips to Lake of the Ozarks, MO; New Orleans, LA; Dallas, TX to Six Flags and Houston, TX to NASA.   Our boys were strongly involved in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and some of our trips morphed into Scouting trips which I planned for the entire group.  A few years ago we took our first cruise… and we were hooked!  Cruising is an amazing vacation!!!  There are so many different activities and locations wrapped into one vacation. How often can you take one trip and visit three countries???

EECC Travels was born:

When planning our Disney World trip in 2015, we discovered YouTube and all of the wonderful videos and vlogs out there!  So my family and I decided, ‘hey this looks like fun’, and we decided to start a YouTube channel to share our travel adventures.

We have been fortunate enough to be able to vacation multiple times a year and we have recorded our experiences.  In March 2015 we took a cruise on the Carnival Magic to Montego Bay Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, Mexico.  In September we ventured back to Walt Disney World after five long years absence…  It was magical to be back!  These first videos were horrible as they were only meant to be family videos… but we morphed them into early vlogs…

So we got a new camera and started vlogging for real!

For 2016, in January, Jason & I took a hubby & wifey trip to Walt Disney World.  It was our first time on a vacation without the kids…  It was a lot of fun, but of course, we had another trip planned with them!  In March/April, we went on a cruise on the Carnival Freedom to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica.  It was an awesome vacation and our love of cruising has only gotten stronger!  Last but not least for this year, we took a family trip in September to Disney World which included first times for our family to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival!

On to 2017… We were so blessed to have numerous trips for this year as well!  In April, a cruise on Carnival Dream to Cozumel, Mexico; Belize & Isla Roatan, Honduras.  In May, Minneapolis & Stillwater, Minnesota – Yes we went to Mall of America.  In June, our first ever trip to DISNEYLAND in California for our 20th wedding anniversary & we explored Los Angeles, Hollywood & Santa Monica as well!  In August, New Orleans, LA for my birthday and our first-ever NFL game! For December we were back in Walt Disney World where we experienced it for the first time all decked out for Christmas!  We attended Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and experienced Holidays Around the World at Epcot!

In 2018, our travels expanded even more with three cruises.  First up on the Carnival Breeze in April – this is our annual spring break family trip.  Then in November, we branched out for the first time to another cruise line sailing on the Norwegian Breakaway to the Western Caribbean including their private island in Belize, Harvest Caye.  Then yet another new cruise line for us as we sailed on the Disney Wonder for a Christmas themed cruise.  This was also our first time in the Bahamas… although the weather did not allow us into Castaway Cay 🙁

2019 was a stellar year!  We started out in January with a week-long trip to Walt Disney World (we missed going last year so we needed a trip!).  Then the first of many cruises this year…  on the Carnival Vista for an 8-day Western Caribbean cruise with all of the family.  Shortly after, we made a super quick trip to LA for a 1-day inaugural cruise of the newly redesigned Norwegian Joy.  More Disney, but on the west coast as our boys visited Disneyland in California for the first time ever!  Now the EPICNESS begins with our first-ever Alaskan cruise on Norwegian Bliss!  If you have never seen the beauty of Alaska, it is a must-do.  Then we take a quick trip to Miami for the inaugural sailing for Norwegian Encore.  We end the year with the trip of all trips when we fly to Athens, Greece to board Celestyal Crystal for a Three Continent Cruise to Europe, Africa, and Asia… this was the trip of a lifetime!!

And then there is 2020… which threw us a MAJOR CURVE BALL in the travel world! At least the year started out great with our first ever EECC Travels group cruise on Norwegian Getaway… which was a blast.  And we sailed with a new cruise line for us on HAL’s Nieuw Statendam with an amazing Eastern Caribbean itinerary with all new ports for us! #NotYourGrandparentsCruiseLine
