When in Belgium, you must have a waffle!! Did you know that there are two different kinds? The Brussels waffle is a perfectly shaped square or rectangle and the Liège waffle is a smaller round (but not perfectly round) sugar waffle. Can you tell which one this is?? Also, waffles are NOT for breakfast! But they are an afternoon snack! And no syrup here either! Mine had powdered sugar, chocolate, strawberries and whipped cream ❤️ Today we were in Brussels while on our river cruise with #amawaterways and finally got my waffle!

Today was spent in the Medieval city of Bruges, Belgium. This place is AMAZING!! It is a UNESCO protected city so nothing new can be built here. It’s like a city frozen in time. Canals run all through the cobblestone streets and everything is so picturesque! And we had most of the musts in Belgium… mussels, fries (they were invented here NOT France), chocolate and beer… but missed the waffles… there is always tomorrow in Brussels! We are on the Best of Belgium & The Netherlands itinerary with #AmaWaterways on our first river cruise and we are loving it!!! #rivercruise #belgium #bruges #brugges #oldbruges
